Who says Dinos wouldn't have loved getting into the Christmas Spirit?!  We whipped up a batch of these colorful cookies with fun santa hats for a Dino-loving little girl that needed an extra bit of Christmas Cheer.

We abandoned our typical Santa faces and Christmas Trees this year to do something a little more elegant.  A close friend was hosting her future in-laws and wanted a dessert to, lets face it, impress them.  I love a good challenge!  Took a cue from my kids Holiday Pictures and went with the elegant black and white, with a little red glamour to make them pop.  The plaid mittens were my favorite!

Santa loves Cookies, this we know.  He especially LOVES cookies that look like him!  We make these fun Christmas themed minis every December to leave for Santa and his band of merry reindeer.  We can't confirm, but we have a hunch that he may feel extra generous when he sees these!

Lions and Tigers and....Monkeys?  Oh My!  A fun set of Wild Animals for a cutie on his 1st Birthday Party.  This little guy LOVES animals, so we did a platter of his favorites (I loved the mini zebras!).  We think he went WILD over them, we did too!

Our elementary school PTA hosts a great event every fall called Hallowingo - kids dress up, eat pizza and play Bingo til they drop.  Our first year, I volunteered to bake cookies for the bake sale....but after learning they had a cake raffle - my competitive.....I mean CREATIVE juices kicked in.  Im happy to report that our raffle bag floweth over.

New babies are such a gift to a family! We made these sweet monogram cookies to welcome a new baby boy.   His arrival was important for another little boy in the family, because he became a big brother for the first time!  We celebrated both, and gave big bro his own set of monogram truck cookies to say Congratulations!

Growing up in the Washington DC suburbs, we learned "Hail to the Redskins" in our elementary school music class.  Our pride runs deep, even when our team doesn't exactly give us a lot to sing about.  We created a set of Redskins themed helmet and football cookies for the beginning of the season, where everyones outlook is still sweet.  (*Deco Bake is happy to create these themed sets for YOUR favorite team, too!)

We lived at the beach for a few years, we call them the glory days.  Im partial to all things Nautical, especially when it comes to little boys. We did these great cupcake toppers to welcome a new little boy to the world.  The favors (which are unfortunately hard to see), were adorable black lab dog cookies and red stars to match the little cuties new nursery.  Welcome Hayes Daniel!

A great example of a Deco Bake Custom order.  A lovely little girl was all set to celebrate her birthday at the American Girl Store with her friends and wanted some cookies to match her invitation.  We were able to come up with some sweet pink and white flowers as well as an "M" monogram for her guests to enjoy.

40th Birthdays can feel a little hard to stomach, so we made one a little sweeter with these red and white wine cupcake toppers. A fun group of ladies went on a winery tour in Loudoun County and brought these guys in some delish red velvet cupcakes to toast the Birthday Girl.  Bottoms up!

A double dose of sweetness for a joint birthday party for two little girls turning two.  The theme was Pink Lemonade, and the party was full of delicious treats - we were happy to join the fun and made some pink and yellow lemon slices to match the colors of the girls adorable lemonade stands.

We made these super yummy ice cream cone cookie favors for a little girls SWEET Birthday Celebration - and that cute little cherry on top was....well, the cherry on top!

I always envied kids who had summer birthdays, who got to celebrate outside without the threat of snow.  This lucky little girl gets to have her birthday every year at the beach, which coincides with her families annual trip to the shores of Nags Head in NC.  What could be better, you ask?  How about a fun "3 by the Sea" party, complete with an awesome rice krispies birthday castle!  Topped with our fun cupcake toppers in summery shapes like Anglefish, Sharks, Buckets/Pails and Sea Monkeys.  We hope she had a Whale of a good time!

Lots of detail went into these special request Elsa and Anna Cake Toppers and Cookies for a sweet little girls 4th Birthday party.  She wanted a Frozen cake, but specifically asked for the toppers to look like the matching Elsa and Anna dresses she got for her American Girl Doll....we got a big Princess smile when she saw these!

Baseball is fun to watch, baseball cookies are fun to eat.  We did a sporty set of Baseball bat and ball toppers for an end of the season team party.  I think we hit this one out of the park.

Little tiny cowboy hats and little tiny cowboy boots with little tiny spurs for a little tiny baby.  We did this fun themed collection for a Western themed baby shower.  When we're asked to work on fun projects like this, we say Giddy Up! Sugar Cookie Show-and-Tell: Funny Farm Friends

Creating cookies for little kids is definitely our favorite thing to do here at Deco Bake. Lets face it, they'd probably be happy with a spoon full of icing, but the smiles we get when they see a character or animal they recognize on a cookie is just really sweet.  These farm animals were for a preschool field day - we kept it simple with some basic shapes and had fun with the colors and details.

Between Easter and the 4th of July there is a definite void of acceptable cookie-eating holidays.  We decided Earth Day didn't have nearly enough sweets associated with it and created these yummy guys.  Help save the Earth! Eat more Cookies!

A fun splatter effect on a gorgeous blue Robin's Egg Cookie for an Easter Brunch.  Small enough to fit as a cupcake topper, so we toasted some coconut and made them cute little nests.

Sugar Cookie Show-and-tell: Spring Dragonflies

We love bugs and insects of all kinds here at Deco Bake.  They are fun to dig up and fun to catch and fun to watch, and we hear they are fun to eat (my son still swears that beetle he ate last year was DEE-licious, Im dubious).  But mostly they are fun to turn into cookies.  These dragonflies were for a spring charity event and we love how vibrant the colors are!
