Between Easter and the 4th of July there is a definite void of acceptable cookie-eating holidays.  We decided Earth Day didn't have nearly enough sweets associated with it and created these yummy guys.  Help save the Earth! Eat more Cookies!

A fun splatter effect on a gorgeous blue Robin's Egg Cookie for an Easter Brunch.  Small enough to fit as a cupcake topper, so we toasted some coconut and made them cute little nests.

Sugar Cookie Show-and-tell: Spring Dragonflies

We love bugs and insects of all kinds here at Deco Bake.  They are fun to dig up and fun to catch and fun to watch, and we hear they are fun to eat (my son still swears that beetle he ate last year was DEE-licious, Im dubious).  But mostly they are fun to turn into cookies.  These dragonflies were for a spring charity event and we love how vibrant the colors are!

Sugar Cookie Show-and-tell: Oscars Party

We had such a fun time celebrating the Oscars this year.  The kids are old enough to understand the concept of an awards show and they got a kick out of dressing up (just like my mother made my brother and I do) when we were kids.  The added bonus that the Oscars fell on my birthday made it prime time for a get-together.  

We made Oscar cookies (naturally) and everyone got their own Oscar to gobble down.

The best part was recreating our own Oscars "selfie".  We dressed to impress.

Sugar Cookie Show-and-Tell: Neighborhood Potluck

Fall means the start of the neighborhood Potluck season...you can't drive by a culdesac in our hood and not see folding chairs, tables full of potato salad and kids drawing with chalk.  Made some cute fall-ish cookies as our contribution, added a few with out neighborhood street names and they were a big hit.

Sugar Cookie Show-and-Tell: Turquoise & Pink

Turquoise and Pink go together for me like Peanut Butter and Jelly, they just work.   Keeping it simple for a 1st Birthday party with a #1 cake topper and some sweet monogram favors in shades of pink and Turquoise.
